This sculpture and its relative, Large Sphere, are made of welded rods or squares and form fractured and transparent globes. Seen from any angle the circle and globe are universal symbols of totality, cyclic regeneration and timelessness, and these elements are integral to Andrew’s concept of sculptural form and aesthetic intentions. Through their open structures the viewer can observe the landscape beyond, ever-changing skies and sunsets, which remind us of the passage of time and vastness of open environments.
